This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which LEADNAV Systems LLC collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a "User") of the www.leadnavsystems.com website ("Site") and the LEADNAV GPS software application. This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by LEADNAV Systems LLC.

Bottomline

Unlike most folks these days, we do NOT make a living from selling your data…we make a living at providing our users a professional GPS system.

We do not actively collect or organize any of our users information while using our LEADNAV GPS application.

Personal identification information

We may collect personal identification information from Users in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to, when Users visit our site, fill out a form, and in connection with other activities, services, features or resources we make available on our Site. Users may be asked for, as appropriate, name, email address. Users may, however, visit our Site anonymously. We will collect personal identification information from Users only if they voluntarily submit such information to us. Users can always refuse to supply personally identification information, except that it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities.

The LEADNAV GPS application itself does not collect personal information unless you enter it through our online real-time group tracking services. If Tracking is a feature you choose to utilize within the LEADNAV software suite, then you are communicating this positional data information to our servers to operate that specific capability. With this capability it is up to you to control who you are sharing this information to in your group by directly inviting them to see your position or by sharing your specific satellite phone number to them if using “self ping” mode.

The LN-Iridium satellite service is an add on capability that you receive from us with training to ensure you have a solid understanding of this capability and is not something that comes with the core application. When you choose to setup this service we will collect and store your information for automatic billing purposes.

Non-personal identification information

We may collect non-personal identification information about Users whenever they interact with our Site or products. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users means of connection to our Site, such as the operating system and the Internet service providers utilized and other similar information.

If you choose to utilize our real-time group tracking service, positional data may be recorded to better improve and maintain the service. To run this capability this locational data will be stored in our servers. This information is only shared with those that you choose through invite in the Location Tracking capability.

How we use collected information

LEADNAV Systems LLC may collect and use Users personal information for the following purposes:

To improve customer service

Information you provide helps us respond to your customer service requests and support needs more efficiently.

To send periodic emails

We may use the email address to respond to their inquiries, questions, and/or other requests.

To run our Real-time Group Tracking capability

We use the positional data that you provide to store in our server. We distribute this among those that YOU CHOOSE to allow to see your position through our capability and may use this information to monitor, maintain and improve the capability.

How we protect your information

We follow generally accepted standards to safeguard your Personal Information against loss, theft, and misuse, as well as unauthorized access or disclosure, both during transmission and once it is received. Unfortunately, however, no data transmission over the Internet or through our partnered satellite service providers can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your Personal Information, we cannot guarantee its security and you assume all risk that any information you provide to us may be disclosed to or intercepted by unauthorized third parties. Sharing your personal information

We do not sell, trade, or rent Users personal identification information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information not linked to any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above.

Business Partners and Affiliated Companies

We may share your Personal Information with our corporate affiliates and joint ventures; other companies with whom we have business relationships (for example, companies who sell devices that are designed to work with applications developed by LEADNAV); and those companies’ affiliates. In each of these circumstances, we may share your Personal Information for the purposes of maintaining the functionality of the Sites and devices; to better understand, personalize, and improve user experience; for customer support; to notify you of and address technical issues with the Sites or devices; to market relevant products or services to you; and when you otherwise approve or request us to do so. This Personal Information may include: your contact information (such as your personal name, account name, and email address); information relating to your account or registration; information you have entered or that has been collected by your device; information relating to your device (such as device model and serial number); information relating to customer support requests (such as contact information and support ticket identifications); and other information that may be useful to such companies to understand your use of the product and the Sites. This information may be transmitted electronically (including via the Internet) or physically. Those companies may use your Personal Information in accordance with those companies’ own privacy policies. Children's Privacy

We are committed to protecting the privacy needs of children and we encourage parents and guardians to take an active role in their children's online activities and interests. The Sites and products are not intended for and may not be used by children under the age of 14. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children under the age of 14. If we learn that we have collected Personal Information from or about a child under the age of 14, we will delete that data from our systems.

LEADNAV Systems LLC has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will post a notification on our Community Forum and through our Newsletters. We encourage Users to frequently check these for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect.
